Administrative Services Department

The City of Suisun City provides domestic water and sewer services for all properties located within its boundaries. These services are supplied through partnerships with regional agencies, though the local billing is handled by the City's Finance Department.

Bills for utility service are sent every other month and cover two months' service.

Water Service

Domestic water is provided through the Suisun-Solano Water Authority, a joint powers authority of between the City of Suisun City and the Solano Irrigation District. The City handles the local billing and requests for water and sewer service; the Irrigation District delivers the water to the meter of each property.

The Water Authority board, which consists of the CIty Council and the District board, provides policy direction for the Authority.

Sewer Service

Sewer service is provided to Suisun City residents by the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District, an independent special district established to manage local sewer issues. Billing and requests for services are handled by the CIty Finance Department.

Service laterals from individual homes and businesses to the sewer main are the responsiblity of the property owner. The City's Public Works Department maintains sewer mains up to 10" in diameter.

Applications for utility services are available through the links at left, at City Hall and Police Department Headquarters. A $30 deposit is required before your application can be processed; checks and money orders should be made out to "City of Suisun City."
