Community Development Department
The City requires a Lot Line Adjustment Permit when a landowner wants to change the locations of lot lines on a parcel or parcels.
LOT MERGER APPLICATION The City requires a Lot Merger application when a land owner wants to join two or more parcels.
PLANNED UNIT
DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
(PUD)
A PUD permit is needed for larger developments that require flexible design requirements.
REZONE APPLICATION A rezone application is needed to change the zoning designation for a property.
SIGN PERMIT This permit is required for signs placed on either a business or a residence. Most signs require a permit except for special promotional signs, political signs and parking signs.See the zoning ordinance for specific sign regulations.

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
PERMIT
This permit assures the visual quality and compatibility of new structures. Section 18.68.010 of the Zoning Ordinance states the specific instances when the City of Suisun requires a site plan/architectural review permit.

APPLICATION INFORMATION
This packet of information of development guidelines as related to storm water requirements is provided and administered by Suisun City Public Works.
SUBDIVISION MAP ACT
APPLICATION
A subdivision application is needed when an owner wants to subdivide a property into several lots.
TEMPORARY USE PERMIT A Temporary Use Permit is similar to a use permit but for uses that last less than 72 hours.
TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP
APPLICATION
Tentative Parcel Map approval is required so the City can made a preliminary evaluation to the design of a new subdivision.
VARIANCE APPLICATION Occasionally, property owners want to construct something or carry on an activity not permitted by the Suisun City Zoning Ordinance. A Variance Application allows the City to consider the situation. The City can only issue these permits if there is an unusual physical condition on a property, such a peculiarly shaped lot or an unmovable boulder within a parcel.
USE PERMIT This permit is used to consider ongoing activities or uses defined in the Zoning Ordinance as "conditionally allowed" within specific zoning areas.Some common zoning designations are Single Family Residential (RS), General Commercial (GS), and Commercial Service (CS).Applications for use permits may be reviewed by staff or the Suisun City Planning Commission.
